Paid Job - Problems with m2t files

Postby chrisledet » 24 Jul 2008 22:36

Hello,

I work for a company who is looking to contractor a VLC Developer for some thing we would like to add into VLC. This contractor would require knowledge of video streaming and have an understanding of how VLC actually plays files, specifically the M2T format. Yes, i know, scary however we are willing to PAY (*yes money) for!

Please contact me if you are interested and we can setup a phone interview to move further along.

My contact email address is cledet@icuetv.com.

Thanks!

Hey j-b, I actually work for the same company.

We are looking for a VLC developer who can help us create a client that can view M2T video files and output timecode based information (specifically, the current video's time). We understand that M2T files are not fully viewable due to timecode issues. Because of this, we are looking for a VLC developer who could built this app (preferably using JVLC) without that functionality (by using system timing and reduced seeking functionality).

Fill a ticket on the tracking system with samples and details. Then we will see who could do that.

OK. Don't read my posts, it is a good idea...

If I tell you to do that, there is a reason. No devs (except me) really read the forum. So far, I cannot diagnose the problem, so I cannot forward it to the competent guy.

We're getting a ticket up there, I'm just taking a little time to play around with the problem.

Hi,

I can't find ticket 7509 (the last ticket on vlc track is 1824 and ticket numbers are incremental). I can't find it searching for "m2ts" on vlc track either, so can you give me the ticket link?

regards,
Anthony

I guess I had the ticket posted in the wrong trac. I'm going to post it in the correct one and then send you the link.
