Norwegian translation in 1.0.5

Postby nojac » 08 Feb 2010 10:46

After updating from 1.0.3 to 1.0.5, the option to choose Norwegian language has disappeared.

It has been replaced by "Nynorsk" (="New Norwegian"), a language written by a small minority in Norway.

Please add the standard Norwegian translation as an option. Until then I'll have to use 1.0.3 (or the English version of 1.0.5)

Nynorsk has appeared. It hasn't replaced Bokmal.

The bokmal translation only have 97 strings translated. This is deemed not enough to add it in the preferences.
However you can use it by setting LANGUAGE or LANG on *nix or by moving the vlc.mo from the nb locale directory to the directory of an language which is in the preferences (e.g. nn for nynorsk)
