G'day Cindy
I would like to help translate VLC to Tagalog/Filipino and would like to get in touch with the language maintainer.
According to http://www.videolan.org/developers/i18n/, the language maintainer for Tagalog is Simeon (simos) Xenitellis, but he's also the language maintainer for Greek, Bengali, Nepali, Pashto, Hindi, Burmese and Tetum. I don't know him personally, so if anyone here knows how he fits into things (perhaps Rosetta?), please let us know.

Samuel

Simon ran a l10n workshop a long time ago and used VLC for the practical exercise.

But we haven't heard anything from the people who did the workshop with him.

Considering there is only 2 good translations and a few hundreds fuzzy in tl.po, cindytrinidad can take over the translation.

cindy, you can download the file from http://git.videolan.org/gitweb.cgi?p=vl ... po;hb=HEAD

You can use poedit or kbabel or use pootle (see the post from leuce)

Thanks, Xtophe, it's always interesting to hear some of the undocumented history of a project.

Hi everyone. I have recently registered with pootle and this forum to help out as well in the translation of VLC in our language (Tagalog). Let me know if there is room for one more :D
