Postby Simon_sez » 26 Oct 2010 11:06

Hello,
at first i want to say you VLC media player is a fantastic program for iPad ;-)
But old version was good with czech subtitles ( with some mistakes diacritic), i dont know where is problem in new version, beacuse when i transfer movie with subtitles to iPad, i can see only video, but subtitles are't there, why? :( some bug?

My next question is, i live in Czech Republic and VLC haven't czech diacritic for subtitles i mean, "č, ě", etc... is it possible give to this program czech diacritic too please, if yes, it will be great, fantastic and more :-) please tell me, if yes, or not :-)

Here is czech diacritic: A, Á, B, C, Č, D, Ď, E, É, Ě, F, G, H, CH, I, Í, J, K, L, M, N, Ň, O, Ó, P, Q, R, Ř, S, Š, T, Ť, U, Ú, Ů, V, W, X, Y, Ý, Z, Ž

thanx soo much
Simon

Being a very ancient Czech myself, I can understand the problem.
On some OS's, installing UNIBOOK can cajole your PC into accepting ALL characters from all written languages.
UNIBOOK is a free program that is normally installed on LINUX as standard, but will work perfectly on Windows.
I have XP with SP3 and my Grand-daughter has Window 7 - no problems.
You don't have to call up the program unless you want to view the 10's of 1000's of extra characters you PC will accept.
