How to translate program name and start menu entries of VLC?

I've been translating VLC to Dutch for a while now. Recently I received an e-mail from someone who asked me to translate the program name (in the program list) too. He said that in French, VLC Media Player is called "Lecteur Multimédia VLC". That's why he wants VLC to appear like "VLC Mediaspeler" in Dutch.

The only problem is that I couldn't find anything to translate the program name. Does somebody know where I can do this?

Currently, there are 2 different translatable files that I know of:

• the .po file (which contains all strings in the program itself)
• the .nsh file (which contains strings for the installer and the shell extensions)

Both files are accessible via GIT, but as I said... I couldn't find any other translatable file, and those files don't contain the needed strings.

It seems that the problem was already solved with the latest nightly build...

But i still don't know if those 2 files are everything that is translatable in VLC. If somebody knows if there are other files, please tell me!
