Using VLC for shop commercials

Is there a way to have a monitored folder set up so that VLC will play clips that are in that folder, and when I add or delete clips they will be automatically added or taken out of the rotation? We have a 24 hour shop. and we want our TV's to display commercials, information, and specials constantly, and we want to be able to change the content without downing the system.

I have already tried the Open Folder function, but If I modify the contents, it does not reflect the changes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!
