Overlay with the Python Bindings

Hey,

First i have 2 videos for you guys

You can see that when the video is playing the little control box at the bottom has a hard time keeping focus. Not really sure what i can do about it and thought i could ask someone here

Sorry for the bump but this is a real problem for displaying the video properly.

In essence what I've done is created a program that has a specialized playlist selection. I have a ton of cartoons and got tired of seeing some shows more frequently than others. So i created an algorithm that tracks previously viewed episodes and selects ones that have been played less frequently.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with Python.
But I see your posted video, it seems like the events are not processed smoothly.
And I see that you've some codes that processing the slider bar.
I don't know wheather your CPU/GPU is powerfull enough to handle it. (I've simular problem when using my 4 years-old notebook play HD video)
So, what about remove the slider bar (or just do not update the slider bar)??
