Superimposing a div element over the plugin area

Postby BrunoBozic » 01 Mar 2011 16:08

Seems like my previous post got lost on the internets.

So, I am trying to achieve the following;

superpose a div element OVER the VLC mozilla plugin (for an example to put subtitles in it), I have properly set up the z-indexing and have turned overlaying off (Win7 + Mozilla), and the drawing/playing area is still in the front.

How can I achieve this? been reading the forums and some people say that they managed to achieve this but they dont provide instructions on how they did it.

For a computer whiz, if there is a will there is a way. Some of us do not accept, no. What can we do to make this happen? It has to be possible, we just need to know which language can actually take control of this ability, or when will the plugin receive an update allowing it to be manipulated like you can overlay divs over flash videos using the <param name="wmode" value="transparent" /> tag. Could a more knowledgeable VLC plugin expert tough light on the subject?
