Configuring VLC .lnk shortcut for online web stremings

Hello to all

I want to know if i have an online striming URL like [http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist. ... ent=149773] for "NASA TV" now if i create a shortcut for it on my sesktop i want that it should open in VLC itself insted of in a browser...

so there would be some extension for doing this i want to know that extension

Not sure I understand what you want, but if you want an shortcut on your desktop that enables you to open the stream directly from there (?) you could always just save it to a playlist:

When you open the stream (by clicking the link you gave us), go to "Media -> Save Playlist to File..." (Or hit the shortcut CTRL+Y) And save it as a playlist of your liking (I recommend the .xspf-format.) Be sure to associate the extension ".xspf" to VLC, so that when ever you open the xspf-file your stream will open in VLC.

NOTE: If your looking to program something that makes these playlist files, I have an PHP-class that does just that. If your interested I can post it?
