Passing command-line arguments to VLC plugin?

Hi,

I want to look up the VLC web plugin API. viewtopic.php?f=16&t=29654 points to http://trac.videolan.org/vlc/browser/ta ... /axvlc.idl but "trac" is down and has been for at least a couple of days now.

How do I pass command-line arguments to the underlying player? Is there an easy way for me to suppress VLC displaying what URL I am streaming from?
