Hello, I'm not sure if here is the right place to ask this question...

How can I install VLC in my website to replace embedded players?
I'm buildind WebTV and I will need 4 Players ( Real player, WMP, QuickTime and Flash) It's very complicated, if I have just 1 player will be great.

Thank you all!
Ricardo

Usually, yes. But people will need to install VLC or VLC plugin for this...

I still want a player into my site to stream directly from a website and not have to rely on a helper application (eg: QuickTime®, RealPlayer® and Windows Media Player®) installed by the end user.
Any sugestion?

i think no.

any website or player that i know must be localy installed. i think the one that can help you is a java applet player. this can directly load from your site.
but i dont know if there is any java applet that can play all the video formats. and then is this also a performance question.

at a local network, you can put the (installed) vlc on an network drive and use this with scripts to play videos, without installing on ever pc.
