VLC permit stream for a webcam to a browser in real time?

Postby carlosabdomingos » 08 Sep 2008 18:04

Hello!

I have read some articles about VLC, and they talk about streaming from video files, audio files, but about webcam, i don't see anything.

I have read the manual VideoLan Streaming Howto, see some topics in this forum, etc., but i can't put the video working!

Everyone knows a sample or manual for dummies :D (I don't understand annything about streaming video)?... Where i can see webpages with streaming for a webcam, working (send the URL's)?

A need the information about all steps (the basics things too). I want in this moment, make a very simple thing:

connect the webcam to my PC (Windows XP SP2), and with IIS, open the webpage in the same computer with URL 127.0.0.1, and see the video in the browser (Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox or Opera, ).

What is the verifications I have to do?

Probably my questions are very stupids, but I'm in my first steps in this subject!
