VLC -> DreamBox, sound, Picture

Hi
I have found out that it is an plugin for WinMCE 2005 that I can see the picture and sound from the DBox over the localnetwork, but I cant see to find it again... So that is some s..t...
Question: Does send the AC3 sound over the network? Is the picture good?
And can I record with this plugin? Does it control the channel changing?
And another thing: I have also find out that it is an plugin for MediaPortal to, that can change channels and se the epg and stuff... But I dont know if I can record with MediaPortal, and watch another program at the same time from another TV card that is in the computer...
