VLC Multimedia Plugin doesn't work

Hi !
I have just installed VLC v0.8.4a, (i choosed to install the VLC plugin for Firefox too), and now i wanted to give it a try but it seems that it doesn't work with Firefox v1.5. Is there a workaround or do i must wait for a new release of VLC ?
