Two videolan ActiveX..

Postby Guest » 28 Jan 2006 21:19

Hi,

I am using the ActiveX component with VB6 to play the same video in two different forms that are displayed in two different monitors (an extended desktop). It work ok 99% of the time but the odd time ont of the players (either of them) just display a blue screen for the duration of the video. When the playlist is cleared and another video is given to both players it works ok.

It does not seem to be a pattern to the problem. I read somewhere else in the forum something about two instances of the component not liking to be running in the same process when used in Delphi but I am not sure if it was a Delphi problem or a component problem.

Does anybody have an idea of why the blue screen appears?

I am using VB6 in Windows XP Profesional.

Thanks,

Juan Carlos

It's a component/system issue, but what you are describing sounds more like a video card/overlay issue. What happens if you put them on the same monitor?

I think it worked ok but I did not test as much as with the two monitors. As I say before it does not seem to be a pattern it just happens every so often. I guess I will test a little bit more and see what happens.
