Problems in activex regist

Hi all,

Yesterday I registered the vlc activex on my computer succefully. But today it failed when i reregister it; the return code is 0x80040200. Does anyone have the same problem?

Once a file is registered you do not need to do it again. But re-registering a file should not give an error.

Try unregistering the axvlc.dll file. From the DOS prompt the command would be: regsvr32 /u C:\Progra~1\VideoLAN\VLC\axvlc.dll

To register it again drop the /u option.

Please note: If you type "Program Files" instead of "progra~1" it will fail.
However if you go to VLC's directory and type "regsvr32 axvlc.dll" windows will fill in the path.
