Script to start VLC to play a shortcut with music files

I would like to create a script that will start to play my playlist that I saved from within VLC.

I will then trigger the script with cron to start play the playlist at the same time every day.

Just to elaborate: I have a RPi that plays my playlist saved on the desktop and the mp3 files live on a nas drive and the RPi maps that drive on startup.
So this headless RPi must just start to play the playlist without me touching it.

Currently I VNC to the RPi and start the playlist and I want to automate that task.
