Start-of-Video notification over network?

Hello guys!

I am running a video in loop and I am wondering if there is a possibility that VLC sends a notification over telnet or any other network connection everytime when the video restarts.
When receiving this notification I want to trigger a reaction on another device.

Hi, you could use the rc interface over ssh for example, or write your own interface module for this, taking inspiration over the rc module.
