I have seen in the documentation and the file test.html, that if you set a negative value to vlc.input.rate, the playback should rewind. But this doesn't work.
Is this a bug, or is this feature deprecated?

Fast forwarding and slow motion still works.

Playing backward is not possible in an efficient way, and not implemented.
