Hey guys,

my intention:

When i visit my parents, i would like to stream music and movies from my own pc at home to my laptop...

I want to do that by using the vlc web interface...

My problem:

I don't get a connection to the vlc web interface over the internet...(i am using my public ip to test it... i will get a dyndns when i achieve a connection...)

I can get access in my lan at home but that is not my use case...

lan-test: http://192.168.126.2:8080

internet-test: http://247.x.x.x:8080

What i actually did:

I activated the web interface in my vlc and activated the port forwarding funktion of my router for 2 ports... the first one for the web interface and the second one for the stream...

i assigned a password in the "lua" section of vlc options, but that does not work... but i think that lua is part of the web interface because "lua" stands in the footnote of the web interface...

but that is a secondary problem...

My english-skills are not the best but i hope you get what i want to do

Kind regards

hey,

i am new to this forum. i can't find a way to create a new topic because i have one simple question. I wanted to know the list of website like youtube that i can use.. For example i can use video from youtube and stream it to my VLC so i can watch video instead of using youtube.. but is there other website that can do that as well.. i am looking for a website that can do that and also has to have tv series.. even latest episode coming out.. like teen wolf or psych but they are not aired in Canada, only USA.. :( i can't find a website that i can make it work like with youtube and VLC.
