C# ActivX v2 Reached End Event

I wrote a programm in C# that uses the COM Element/ ActivX Component.

I have a extra form just for the player. And if the video reaches the end it calles a method that should close the form with:

this.Close();

It actually calles the Method but after calling "this.Close();" nothing happens.
But if i call the same Methode with a button .. the form closes -> No Problem

What it the difference ??
