display HTML on top of VLC plugin

Postby niclas » 15 Jan 2007 16:10

Hello,

I would like to display HTML content on top of the plugin, in order to create something like an on-screen menu, but I can't get it working. I have tried both the ActiveX in IE and the plugin in Firefox. What I try is using two DIVs with different z-index, but the VLC plugin always displays on top.

I realise that this might be a general limitation with (video) plugins and web browsers - can someone confirm?

Also if you can think of any other way of accomplishing this I am very grateful.

Thanks,
Niclas

Ah - just found posts viewtopic.php?t=10403 and viewtopic.php?t=3015.

Still, any ideas of an alternative solution are still greatly appreciated.
