Activex indipentent from the vlc installed

Postby Bietula » 10 Jul 2006 23:23

i'm developing a simple application with vb.net on visual studio 2005, with the 0.84a activex, all works fine but if in the system is installed a different version of the activex the software have problems

how can i use the activex that i need independently from the vlc version that the user have already installed?

excuse me if the question is a little bit confused, i'm a vb noob

0.8.5 is backward compatible with 0.8.4, so in theory there should be no problem; the possible cause of your problem is the addTarget() options bug, where one extra dummy option was required, which is no longer there in 0.8.5. if you want to be compatible with both version, i recommend that you add a valid but useless option as the last option, such as ":zoom=1.0"
