ActiveX dev question

I haven't explored deeply into the activex interface, so maybe this is obvious, but a quick scan of the activex api didn't help me answer this:

Is it possible to set the audio device id to be used for playback?

Gosh, I didn't think this would be a hard question to answer...

Anyone?...anyone?...Bueller? Bueller?

My presumption is that if it can be done, it would be via the set variable method, but I didn't find any documentation on what variables can be set.

Is there such a list?

I am not that familiar with videolan, so again...maybe a stupid question
