Sending url of streaming video to vlc without link

Ok, im not sure if im in the right place asking this here but if someone could help me out or point me in the right direction that would be awesome!

Im trying to stream video from a website through my vlc media player instead of my browser, problem is i have to use Tor browser to view the video url link and then manually add it to vlc and open it with "open network stream" option in vlc media tab. Firefox and other browsers wont see the video stream url link, but since tor is unable to play it, i have the option to right click and copy video url link there.

Is there a plugin or addon that would have the capability of doing this in firefox type browser to open the video in vlc? Or am i completely barking up the wrong tree here, i have limited knowledge in this area lol
