Hide the cone (VLC logo)

Postby dhepburn » 01 Apr 2015 03:03

I have a VB desktop app that plays video via the VLC ActiveX dropped onto my form. I've been slow to upgrade the ActiveX as I'm still running the 1.1.7 (the Luggage) version as it hasn't caused me too many dramas. Now it's finally time to update to see if some bugs that I do get occasionally have been fixed in the 2.2.0 version I've just downloaded. A new problem has happened where it shows the VLC cone logo on the ActiveX for a split second while the media file loads. I can't have this happen in my app as it runs in public places on plama screens and showing the logo would not look right.
How can I hide/disable the logo?

Anyone? This is surely possible right? If not, how do I go about adding it as a feature request?

You can do that in the web pages. As for VB, no idea.

how exactly in the web pages? I assume they would run the same way, ie. via a line command? That's how I load media in the VB app (it's actually Powerbuilder but similar to VB):-
ole_vlc.object.playlist.Add("C:\1.mp4", "", ":no-video-title-show --mouse-hide-timeout=0 --no-file-logging")

Is there an option I can add to the line command to turn it off?
