Pause/Resume 2 Instances of VLC at Once

I have a batch script that kicks off 2 instances of VLC in full screen mode on 2 different screens with 2 different videos (as both videos need to be in sync with each other). That works great, unfortunately, I need to pause and resume them both at the same time as well so they stay in sync with each other (need to do this several times during the playback). Is there any way this can be accomplished? I'm at a loss.

Hi, I hope you found a solution. I was wondering if I can pick your brain. I am an artist trying to play 3 videos in sync of one PC laptop. Is this possible?
