some questions about the vlc online player

I have some question about the vlc online player, i hope this is the right thread here.... and someone can help me a bit out.

1. Is it possible to link a online stream "link" directly to the vlc desktop application ? For example, if i click on a online link, the desktop application of vlc player opens up and start playing the online stream.

2. Is the online version and also the desktop application of the vlc player able to play a clip without pause "breaks" which is splited in different .rar files ? For example one 35min clip splited in 10 .rar files.
Is it also possible to play a clip without pause "break" which is splited in 5 or 10 online links? every link contains also a .rar file.

3. Supports the vlc online player also the same codecs like the desktop application? like mkv, divx, mp3, AC3, DTS etc.... ?

4. Are they any skins avaiable for the vlc online player?

4. There is no skin, it is jsut the raw video.
