VLC plugin - how to activate XvMC ?

Hi,
I have VIA AGP Unichrome video card on Ubuntu 8,0.4 My X server is configured to use AGP and to do DRI. I compiled and installed vlc version 0.9.9a with enable_xvmc and I have observed significant CPU reduction (around 25%) using this vlc.

But vlc_plugin in firefox on the same stream still shows high CPU consumption and I think that XVMC plugin is not activated

How can I configure vlc_plugin to use xvmc ?

Solved : Evidently the High CPU consumption was caused by other dynamic frames in this FireFox process.
I think XVMC is always active since vlc was compiled with xvmc enabled.
