I set VLC to use a configuration of keyboard for my convenience, in vlc the keys work fine.
The vlc plugin manage the same?

I don't think (untested).
1- those shortcuts will only be kept in fullscreen (double clicking the video area)
2- the config file is ignored while VLC is started through ActiveX and mozilaPlugin, so I think you will get default keys.
