axvlc.cab doesn't automatically install the vlc player recen

Postby limju95 » 24 Oct 2007 03:57

I implemented vlc activeX in my web page (Internet Explorer).
I had no problem. before 07/10/19. (I found at that time.)

But, I can't download vlc player after 07/10/19. (I found at that time.)
when IE loads the activeX, it does not run vlc setup program which is included in the .cab file.
Worst of all, demo page http://people.videolan.org/~damienf/plugin-0.8.6.html (in wiki) can't automatically install the vlc player.

Code: Select all

<OBJECT id=vlc codeBase='http://downloads.videolan.org/pub/videolan/vlc/latest/win32/axvlc.cab' height='540' width='720' classid='clsid:E23FE9C6-778E-49D4-B537-38FCDE4887D8' events='True'> or clsid:9BE31822-FDAD-461B-AD51-BE1D1C159921
Recently, Is a change in videolan.org?
Otherwise, is my mistake? But, I didn't change my page...

Can you automatically install the vlc player recently?
Help me, everyone~~~~

Hi,

Looking at the date of the last post, Oct 24 2007, I guess the statement refers to v0.8.6c. Indeed I find the axvlc.cab in the corresponding ../win32/ directory, which is missing in all later releases.

Assuming this is the solution, can the axvlc.cab also be added for the latest version?

Cheers, Erik
