[SOLVED] New Unified API - Problem with UNC path

Hi all.

I have decided to work with the new 'Unified API' functions.
Thank you Quovodis for the html exemple, but I have one big problem.

I work on an Intranet product.
I'm using the ActiveX to play files located on a storage, so I use UNC path, like "\\server_name\share\file.mpg".
This kind of access works well when using older ActiveX plugin.

Perhaps I have stupidly copy html example, but I have an IE alert : " no suitable access for 'http://server_name/\\server_name\share\file.mpg' "

What kind of path is allowed in the MRL ?
Is someone has the same behaviour ?

UNC paths appears to be a problem again, 1.03 and 1.05 shows the problem, VLC 0.8.6 works fine (I'm back to this!)

Running W__dows-XP pro with all available KB/Patches/Itches/Scratches applied.

The problem appears this way for me:

Make sure you have a small set of mp3-files accessible via an a UNC-path ( \\server\share\folder\* , *= filenames )
Drop \\server\share\folder on the playlist - result nonplayable. Right-click+Information => file://server/share/folder/file.mp3 ( any spaces <=> "%20" )
Any attempt to change the file:// -thingy will reset it back to what was initially.
In 1.03 it is possible to multiselect (as in Explorer) the files and press Delete to remove the entries, this DOES NOT work in 1.05 (Right-click, Delete one by one)
In 1.03 you can have it work by navigating to the mp3-files and dragging THE FILES (not the folder!) into the playlist, then they appear as \\server\share\folder\file.mp3 under Right-click+Information.
The last thing NOT tried in 1.05.

More detail maybe: There is nothing but XP-pro machines on this LAN. Using Windows standard fileshares.
