Changing the image in the center

Postby SotaSystems » 04 Dec 2011 16:52

So, I recently got the Nightly Build of VLC and got the icon file out of the exe, edited it and put the edited icon in the exe.. Works good, but how about the image when you e.g. play an Mp3?.. is there a way to change this?

On the Left we see what needs to be edited, on the right we see what is working fine.

Are you sure?
As the VLC cone now has an Christmas head on, there must be some resources around, right?

Yes, but the ressources are compiled in the object.

Yes, but the ressources are compiled in the object.
Then could you tell me which resource it is inside the source code?

Hi Jean,
How do you hide the picture?

Hi, everyone, 1st post.

Came across this thread, How do you hide the cone icon in the center?
I am perfectly happy with the standard VLC skin. What I would like to do is replace the Cone Icon when VLC loads with a photo if that can be done; but if that is not possible I would at least like to hide it.

Preferences->All->Interfaces->Main Interfaces->Qt almost the last option.

Thanks very much, unchecked the "display background cone or art" and that removed the cone. Is there a way to replace the cone with a picture? (trying to put a picture of girlfriend in there :) )

with mp3tag you can put a photo in there. Set cover type as front cover then your photo will show. see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwHAb7NrLNk

I see that the cone logo can be hidden, but other than in preferences can this be done programatically if I'm using the ActiveX control?
