Hi,
using vlc 1.0.6 (or 1.1.11 ppa:vlc2 n-munich) works fine one my ubuntu 10.04.

if I load any skin ( for example/usr/share/vlc/skins2/default.vlt) draganddrop does not work properly anymore:

- from applications like rhythmbox and others music players:
- I do not get a + on the data-symbol over vlc.
- Nothing, no error message...

- from nautilus
- I get a + on the data-symbol over vlc.
- error message if there spaces in the name

The skins do not have the classic gnome controls like "always in foreground" on top of the window
Any idea where to start searching. Did not find anyone posted the same problem on the net.

On Linux in vlc1.0 or vlc1.1, the skins2 engine does have a few issues with respect to Drag&Drop. In vlc1.2 (dev branch), these problems have hopefully been worked out.

As for "always on top", it is supported by the skins2 engine. (For the default skin you mention, it is available via an icon in the upper left corner of the main window)

In vlc1.2 Drag&Drop does not work so so far. maybe it will change.
