editing an existing skin

Postby random7 » 15 Nov 2010 19:49

If this has already been asked, maybe someone can direct me to the post. My few search tries didn't help.

I could probably slog my way through making my own skin but don't really want to spend a lot of time trying to smash my way through the process. Is it possible to edit an existing skin that you like and simply replace the .png used with one of your own? Or is that really just not possible.

Thx

That is possible. But you should ask the original skin author for permission to use his skin as basis for your own skin.

thanks for the reply. On that note, how hard is it to build one using the new wysiwg editor? I haven't built a web page for about 15 years so xml is a big step for me to work with.

How hard is it to build a skin with the wysiwyg editor? That depends on your abilities. Just try it.
