Artifacts on fullscreen interface

Hi. I want to include a sleek fullscreen control bar into my darkvoodoo skin. I found out that this can be done by calling the window "fullscreenController". After setting up the control bar and testing in fullscreen I get artifacts of the video running in the background while moving the bar on screen. Is this something I can fix or is this an issue of the skinnable interface ?

When first switching into fullscreen the control bar looks as expected:
The bar is made up of png images. It has a background png which fills the whole size of the bar and on top of that the controls are nested.
