Skin VLC for technically unsophisticated

Postby Tristan.Whitehorne » 20 Sep 2009 00:33

I am looking into options for skinning VLC to support very unsophisticated users. The sort of people I am thinking of are those like grannies and kids who are probably intimidated by your standard TV remote control. What I am looking into the skin to support are basic functions to make a computer terminal feel like a TV and subscribe to multiple UDP multicasted H264 streamed "channels" that I am pushing out over the network.

Has anyone done this sort of function previously?

That would not only need skinning but also programming, as you cannot tell a skin to load specific udp casts.
