Features Missing In Skin Mode?

In Skin Mode, I can't find "recent media". There seems to be a lot missing from skin mode. How do I get access to all the features while in Skin Mode?
How do I know if this is a "Windows only" issue or not? Sorry if I'm in the wrong forum.

- Yes, "recent Files" is a missing feature in skins mode.
- No, it is not a Windows-only issue
At least, skins mode is now more stable and usable, but more dev work is still needed to implement some features that are only available with the qt4 native interface.
