Turning Skins Off

Hello!

I recently updated from a rather old version of VLC, and to my horro I find that the defaunt interface has been changed to be all big and nasty looking, and they moved the bar to the bottom too, and why is the volume bar so huge and colourful?!
O.o It looks terrible.

ANYWAY! As you can probably tell I'm not a skins kind of person, I like the interface to be minimal but functional, and the software to do it's job.

So my question is; Is there any way to get the interface back to how it was in version 0.8.6 or am I just going to have to downgrade?

Thanks much

Reiko

--Edit--

Nevermind, I just found this topic: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=50184&hilit=skins+off

So the answer to my question is no.. I guess.

Off to download the old version. xD

Recomendation to the devs, make it OPTIONAL! Always make everything optional, you are always going to have someone who doesn't like the changes you make.

VLC 1.0, will make you possible to customize it.

For the volume, you can modify it too, in the preferences.

Yes, I did find that, but I prefer the controls on the top and the track bar on the bottom, that's what got me hardest.

Will hold out for 1.0

Thanks
