What's up with png with transparency?

Why dont VLC support PNG with transparency?
As soon as I use an image with transparency the whole image is invisible.

Why use png if you’re not gonna implement the transparency? ;)
Will this be fixed in the future?

Can you try with Nightly Builds of 0.9.4, please?

Ok

First I tried the latest Windows build (vlc-1.0.0-git-20081006-0007-win32.7z):
- This crashed on open so cant test anything

Then I downloaded a 0.9.4 build (vlc-0.9.4-git-20081003-0206-win32.7z)
- This open but any skin I select it just open the default skin.
- And somehow it showed by custom skin on first open (I openned the exe from the desktop where it was extracted)
- This was stange since theres no custom skins in the desktop vlc/skins folder
- Then renamed by vlc folder in program files and extracted this new build there and renamed this to VLC so that if any settings is saved in appdata folders it will still think everything is in order.
- This didnt help so cleared the settings.. now the default skin shows and the skins in the menu show but I cant open them (just open the same default skin again)

So please point me to the nightly build that should work ;)
