I have downloaded some skins but I can,t activate them. Please give the detailed instructions on how to change skins.

First thing is that I'm moving this to the Skins topic, the discussion will continue there.

If you've already downloaded skins from the skin page move those vlt files to the Skins folder in the directory where VLC was installed on your computer. If for some reason the skin that you selected doesn't want to stick then shut down VLC media player, go to Start -> All Programs -> VideoLAN -> Quick Settings -> Interface -> Set Main Interface to Skinnable. You'll see the skinned interface on the desktop for a brief moment, open VLC and change the skin from there.
