Blended: Work-in-progress Skin

I had an idea for a VLC skin and started working on a mockup design in Inkscape (a scalable vector program).
So far, I have created a working skin. That is to say, it offers basic music listening functionality. I won't release it until I have playlist functionality, and video gui functionality. (why make people wait for equalizer functionality? I don't use it anyway).

Looks like a very nice clean and compact skin so far - well done
(Also, great that you are using vectorial graphics too - not many skins are (if any), as far as I know).
Arite.

I'm glad you like it so far. Currently I have the main interface working. No playlist, no equalizer, no dvd buttons (I want to put them with the video output window), and no functioning video skin yet (blame the VLC vout bugs...).
I'm thinking of releasing this skin early, as I don't have much time to work on it. I would make everything completely open source, and include the SVG file for the skin so that other people could work on it.

I think this skin is pretty good but a little too small for my desktop resolution, are there plans to make a larger version, maybe 1 & 1/2 to 2x bigger?

Sure, but don't you think x2 is a bit... big?

OK, maybe 1.5x bigger.

Looks good
.
Only thing I would say is that I think the current time/total time would look better in the format "00:00:00" as supposed to "?0:?0:00" (VB-code-speak) - i.e. where "0" is always displayed "?" is only displayed if required. Just I think e.g. "00:02:35" looks better/more recognisable than "0:2:35".
Cheers, Arite.

Arite, I changed it so that the hour digit won't be displayed if it isn't zero. I didn't know VLC had that "feature."
I'm working on a the larger type. I have it so that you can toggle to either the large or small version, depending on preference. When it's done, I'll release this updated version, minus the equalizer and playlist features.
