problem loading skins with the latest builds

Postby xanax » 07 Sep 2006 17:19

Hello.

I can't swith from a the default skin to another with the recent nightly builds.

It seems the right click menu disappeared and that the CTRL+S shortcut doesn't work. I have to stick with the default skin.

Plus, I would like to know if the animated buttons still work with the latest buids ? the 0.8.5 version (official) does'nt.

It's probably because of the QT plugin, which is still quite incomplete. Remove plugins/libqt4_plugin.dll (or something like that), and it should use the wx dialog boxes again.

Thank you ipkiss for the tip but I noticed that animated buttons in the latest builds don't work anymore.. :-(

Any chance that we could see them back ?

Does anyone know which exact nightly build works with these animated buttons ?
Because the current nightlies in the FTP tree seems to be too recent, I hope some developers kept older nightlies in order to get this particular code back.

Ipkiss : can you tell me which nightly build features animated buttons ?
It seems every one I download and try doesn't work with them.

Please point me to a build, or please can you upload the one (that works with animated buttons) on http://rapidshare.de for example ?

Thanks a lot.

Can you provide a skin which should work and doesn't? I don't think i have a skin with animated buttons to try (and to fix the problem, if any).

Try this one (from dionoea's site) :

The XML in this skin generates dozens of errors! Fix them first (c.f. the "Using VLC warning messages" section in the documentation), and you will probably see that animated bitmaps may not be so broken...
