Hi,
i'm wanting to switch from a normal layout to another one including the playlist when clicking on the playlist button but i've not found how to deal with the layouts, how should I do to have 2 or more layouts in the same <window>, control wich one will show as default etc ..., i tried cloning the 1st layout but it's not working ?

Another thing, there's an issue when leaving the fullscreen mode i can't use the volume + or - and maybe other functions (i mapped it to the mouse wheel up or down), in order to get it working i've to switch to another window then return to vlc :)

Thanks

Ok I just found the message window, btw sometimes, i don't know why, the vlc window won't display anymore when using skins2 then i can do nothing exept closing vlc and deleting the vlc stuff from my "Documents and settings" to get the skins workin again

This is a known bug when designing a skin (it shouldn't happen anymore once the skin is finished): vlc tries to remember the size and position of the windows (in the skins-config configuration option), and gets lost when, for example, you add or remove windows in the skin.

There are several workarounds when the problem occurs:
- reset the preferences (by removing the file like you did, or using the shortcut in the start menu if you are on Windows, or using the wxWidgets interface)
- switch to a skin with a different name, using the Ctrl-S shortcut, then come back to your skin
