I had to edit advanced system settings because it wouldn't recognize i had java installed and even now it still doesn't work; everything either doesn't work or gives me a java.lang.NullPointerException error. I have no idea what to do, please help.

Hi, the skin editor is pretty unmaintained for now, but we might take a look at it. Do you have complete log message with the stacktrace of calls ?
