Night Mode?

Why isn't there a built-in "night mode"? I've spent countless hours trying to find a skin that functions and looks exactly the same as the one that comes with the program. But I can't find a single one. I mean it's pretty common for everything nowadays to come with an alternative "night mode" that is easier on the eyes. But you know what they say about today's youth, there isn't anything common about common sense. I don't see why I, a 72-year-old man, am being forced to learn some over complicated and confusing looking skin just to give my eyes a break. When it should be the responsibility of you, the creator, to be courteous enough to do that for me. I've got a "night mode" for pretty much everything else I use and the ones that don't already use a nice darker color instead of an intrusive white blaring light, I can light up my whole office just with your program alone. I ask that you please create a darker skin for use, something that darkens the playlist mode a little more

Thank you in advance

Bloody.
This.

These skins are HIDEOUS.

Examples: Void and Void-R1

Why in gods name would I want my media player to be split into 3 tiny boxes?!

Why isn't there just
A default appearance skin
That's just dark themed

Most of the skins I've tried out just turn VLC from an easily used program into a tiny box with tiny buttons that my eyes can't see.

Holy christ there's a WMP skin...why!?

A dark mode would be much appreciated indeed.
If one happens to use Linux though (I'm using Manjaro Linux, can highly recommend) there is a way to get the default look in a dark mode. Install Qt5 and choose that in Force window style in VLC. Then follow this guide: https://forum.manjaro.org/t/vlc-3-gives ... heme/42551
Or read below:
Open (with root) /etc/environment
delete the line QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=gtk
add the line QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct
delete ~/.config/qt5ct/qt5ct.conf
(might have to reboot the computer)
In the Appearance tab in Qt5, simply choose Custom and 'darker' in Color scheme, and you have a great dark look!

Well, you in fact could use a VM, which could still emulate ISOs of Manjaro.
May I ask what type of computer you are using?
