Split screen with Skin

I've been trying to find a skin or a way to use the windows drag split screen feature with vlc. It works with the native skin but not on the custom skin. I often like to have a video on one side of the screen and find this feature very useful. I'v always liked the vlc skins but without the ability to use this feature im stuck with the native skin.

Any ideas?
