Filenames in playlist window

Postby Guest » 27 May 2006 04:01

I notice that in almost every screenshot I see the playlist displays just the filename, or the ID3 data. like this

However mine looks like this

How would I make the playlist look like the first picture, also I notice some songs cut off slightly before the end. How do I stop that?

How did you add the items in the playlist? (button, drag&drop, command-line, file association, ...)
Do these files contain ID3 information?
Does the display change after you have played them?

filenames in playlist...

Postby nw42 » 27 May 2006 12:57

Hi!

same to me - I have the full path info at the begin of each playlist entry...

--> button, drag& drop, load playlist

--> VLC 0.8.5 WinXP, default skin

How do You get the filename only version??

best regards

Danko

I used Open Directory, but VLC doesn't seem to use ID3 Information, all the MP3s I have have ID3-Tags but still only the filename shows up in the playlist and not the Information provided in the ID3-Tags.

filenames in playlist...

hmm - ok

open disk results in only filename format

open file results in path+filename

--> is there a way to get control over the string format??

--> I havn't seen ID3 Tag readout from VLC - I assume that will be implemented later on when the new playlist formats are implemented??

best regards

Danko
