A skin with a thicker progress bar?

When using VLC (version 2.2.1) on my laptop, and using touchpad instead of the mouse, the skinny progress bar isn't always easy to deal with. Can anyone recommend a particular skin with a thicker status bar? I've been browsing the skin collection on the web site, but that could take forever.

Just want to add that I have also wanted to some sort of option for this.
