how can editing GUI - not skins

Hi all.
This may be out of scope with the skins section and it acually might not be VLC specific but i already tried to developers mailing list with no luck:

I'm interested in adding custom functionality (sort of expanding) on the original VLC GUI.
Actually I want to delete some menu what i won't using. If you know how to do it, Could you tell me to how?

Is there any way edit the vlc interface through a builder?

Hi to All!

Is it possible to customise playlist? For example, to add some columns like FileSise (in bytes with spaces), Resolution, Bitrate, FPS, Quality Factor, Format/Codec. It'll be VERY useful.
